Regarding Differences of Values

At Message of the Lighthouse, we believe, that none of us will ever be able to learn and absorb all there is to know about the Bible or about God, no matter how many Scriptures we memorize or diplomas we compile regarding doctrine and theology.

Nonetheless, we offer the best of what we have learned thus far from our spiritual journey and will continue to share as the Spirit leads.

Encouragement for the Body of Christ:

There are over 20,000 different versions of Christianity in the USA alone and more perhaps in other nations; so it would be virtually impossible to agree on all points of doctrine.

Yet, regardless of how we each interpret the Scriptures, we share the challenge of learning how to keep the commandments of Jesus, which include "loving God with all of our heart, mind, and strength and loving our neighbor as ourselves"...all as we walk in Mercy while reaching for Grace, each day of our lives and every where we go.

Thus, we at Message of the Lighthouse recognize an opportunity to offer encouragement to others throughout this process of spiritual growth, in the spirit of "Friendship in Christ."

As the Body of Christ, we can also agree that, if we extend the Mercy of God to others that has been given us, and if we depend on His Spirit as we are being formed into His Church, we will remain with Him now and always, by His Grace, as we walk in the fulfillment of our soul’s purpose.

May His Mission of Love and Restoration through us, his servants, be accomplished. It is unto this aim and purpose that we dedicate this work and Website.

“Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” - 1 Peter 1:9 (KJV)

e0100cb5c43ee469d45a5cf22985_grande_sun_through_pine_branchesThough we do not seek to be a new religion within the Body of Christ, and though are we not part of any denomination or non-denomination... we do believe in expressing a genuine interest in others; and we believe in seeking the good in others as a way of establishing a positive connection from which understanding can be developed.

We seek Unity by the Spirit of Christ. We offer to pray and worship God together through the Spirit. We wish to bring comfort to those on the spiritual path as well as present ideas regarding practical expressions of God’s Love to others. We hope to encourage loving and patient relationships with one another as we all submit to the Spirit for cleansing, learning, healing, and soul-growth.

As to the elements which might not minister to you at this time: We realize that every aspect of this Website may not be for you at this time; but if even one area inspires or feeds you, then we give our gratitude to God for His leading and for the Divine appointment which brought us together.

We suggest that you “receive” or take with you what you are able to, from the elements offered at our Website, that minister to you; but if there are areas that are difficult to grasp or that do not represent your understanding, we thank you for having taken the time to read and consider these perspectives and we hope that we will have provided something which blessed and comforted you.

“The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.” – Matthew 13: 31–32 (KJV)

In addition, we gently submit, that there is also a possibility that some understanding may take time to germinate in your heart and soul, since certain perspectives presented at this Website may differ from your cultural or religious background or from your personal experience thus far, or simply, be very new ideas for you. It is always helpful to take any concerns in prayer to the Father and then remain open to the Leading of the Spirit, as there can be a "time and timing" to when a seed of knowledge or wisdom takes root and grows.

We hope that the Scriptures which we provide will be helpful in clarifying our teaching points. We remain confident that the Holy Ghost will bring other Scriptures to your attention as well, along with insight (via life’s experiences) in fascinating ways. It is our heartfelt belief, that as we each remain open-minded, open-hearted, and sincere, the Holy Ghost will lead and guide us to the full understanding of what is right for our souls. In that we trust.

Contacting Us: Any sincere concerns that you might have about our teaching or Website content may be submitted in writing as a brief summation for review. It is also helpful for you to include with your correspondence, the necessary Scriptural substantiation for the values you wish to express. Your concerns will be respectfully considered by our praying staff.

Operating and communicating from within a spirit of peace: We are always open to the Hand of God teaching and leading us, yet in observing a Spirit of Peace, we will not participate in any discussions with a spirit of debate.

Debating is a reflection of the old nature and operating from the old nature as a practice, would be in contradiction of the goal of operating under the New Nature by the Spirit.

So, we will not engage in debates or discussions with a “spirit” that operates outside of peace; nor will we speak against individual people or groups in or out of the Body of Christ whose values may not reflect our understanding of what it means to walk with the Spirit of God.

We may, however, address certain behaviors or “misnomers” in general terms, while providing Scriptural references to aid in our teaching and to support understanding.

Spelling, Grammar and Type-Os: Though we are deeply committed to the process of spiritual growth and to sharing what we are learning with others, our spelling and grammar may not always be perfect in spite of our efforts to proof read carefully; so we appreciate your patience and we do not mind learning of a type-O which can be corrected. We thank you for bringing such items to our attention through a brief email. Contact Us

Pleasing God first: Though many of us may enjoy the benefits of group affiliations (religious, social, political)... we pray, that all of us in the Body will be able to maintain our allegiance to the Lord first, above all organizations, doctrines of man, and cultural practices.

Thus, we ask God for the willingness to adjust, grow, or change as the Spirit leads and though we wish to experience harmony with others, we pray for the clarity and conviction to peacefully stand with God as first in our lives and first above our nations.

We also know that, the greatest gift we can give one another is to walk in the fullness of the truth as we understand it, allowing people to subsequently witness our love for the Father, especially as we express this in love toward others, in the ways that the Shepherd (Jesus) has directed us to do.

We confirm our understanding with Scripture: We believe that any authentic revelation can be confirmed by Scripture. Thus, we will accompany most all our commentaries or studies with Scripture verses, when applicable.

We believe in promoting a spirit of...patience, diplomacy and kindness as Ambassadors for Christ:
We agree with what Paul offers when he tells us to “teach the truth in love.”  Thus we believe in always holding love in our hearts for those whom we serve, regardless of any differences of understanding.

We proceed in ministry carefully and with much care, remembering Paul’s wisdom in One Corinthians  13:1–13, which reminds us that tongues, gifts, prophecy, knowledge, or even giving,“profitheth nothing” without charity (Godly Love).

We also pray for all souls to find their true and fulfilling place on the spiritual path.

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity,

these three; but the greatest of these

is charity.” - 1 Corinthians 13:13
