Into the Wilderness

& The Sacred Ten

By Pastor G. Evan Newmyer

The following is an excerpt from the full Bible Course, Lesson Three. for more information on this topic, please see "Genesis to Revelation - An Exposition."

Here is the place of testing, the place where we find belief and faith join in the Now. We will find out if we love religion, or God. Do we love what God will do for us? Do we jump for joy because God did something we wanted? Do we jump for joy when we're being persecuted for the Word's sake? Anyone can “witness” about what they think are the good things God does for them, but few witness about their “wilderness” experiences, yet God does some of His best work there.

The Week of the Cross

Jesus, Our Sabbath and Why

By Pastor G. Evan Newmyer

This Short Study speaks of the last Passover (not the actual meal); rather it will show the overview of events which ocurred during the Week of the Cross. Drawing from all of the Gospel accounts, we can see the story unfold and understand how Jesus fulfilled Prophecy, and is our Sabbath today.

The Commission of Christ

By Pastor G. Evan Newmyer

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.- Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV)

This Short Study will go into "The Commision"....as seen in all four accounts of the Gospels...not the "Great Commission," although that will be part of what will be weaved into our understanding of what constitutes "The Commission of Christ."

By Pastor G. Evan Newmyer

"Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness." - Ephesians 6:14 (KJV)

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perservance and supplication for all saints." - Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)

This Short Study will look at the concept of "Standing" and help us to examine whether or not we have ourselves, as Christians, done all to "Stand," for ourselves and on behalf of one another. We will also reflect on Paul's remarks telling us, "stand therefore," that we might understand and embrace what that means to us today.
