LESSON 24

GALATIANS - PHILEMON

By Rev. G. Evan Newmyer

INTRODUCTION TO LESSON 24

In this lesson we will look at the majority of Paul's letters following a chain of thinking pertaining to the mixing of our faith with the Truth to obtain both Grace and Mercy. We looked at religious conceit in Romans, the carnal mind in Corinthians, now we will look at some more warnings and corrections for those who have the Spirit. How can this be? If we have the Spirit we have the Guide. These letters are not to scare us, they do wake us up, just as the Corinthians had the Spirit, but were not Spiritual, we will find we can be Spiritual, yet be so zealous we are prone to pick up traditions. The Holy Ghost deals with the masses, but we find the Holy Spirit in us deals with us, as He manifests the witness through us. If it’s the case, how did the Spiritual Galatians not have the clarity to discern the false? This adds to our growth, we ask for the Seed, the Holy Ghost plants it, the New Man as the Spirit that is of God will guide us, but we must hear (I Cor 2:11-12). We know about the attributes of Grace found in the New Man (Rom 12: 6-21), as well as being Spiritual (I Cor 12:7-11), but the Galatians lacked Wisdom, thus we are moving to one more step, Spirit to become Spiritual, to gain the Wisdom of God for clarity. The Galatians were about to enter the most dangerous of all areas for the Christian, going back to something God gave another people, thinking they were going forward.

LESSON 25

BOOK OF HEBREWS

By Rev. G. Evan Newmyer

INTRODUCTION TO LESSON 25

This lesson will look at the Book of Hebrews, accordingly if Jesus has called us to be priests and kings, wouldn't it be nice to know what our priestly functions are? Yes, the Book of Hebrews is to the Christian what the Book of Leviticus is to the Jewish priest. Not all Jews are priests, only those born in the tribe of Levi, yet all Born Again Christians are called priests unto God (Rev 1:6). Jesus is our High Priest, He forever makes intercession, so what does it entail? What is our role in the function? Where do we function as priests? In the Courtyard? Holy Place? Or the Holy of Holies? What Order do we follow? Or of Levi? Or of some other Order talked about in the Bible? What does the saying, "which is first, is last, and which is last is first" have to do with our priestly duties, if anything? All good questions, all addressed in the Book of Hebrews.

LESSON 26

JAMES - JUDE

By Rev. G. Evan Newmyer

INTRODUCTION TO LESSON 26

This lesson will look at many of the remaining letters of the New Testament, leading us to the Book of Revelation. They give us the process of correction in justification process so we can enjoy it, rather than fight it. The scribes for these letters are, James the Pastor, Peter and John the Apostles and Jude the Prophet, each giving us information to place us into the Perfect Order God has for us.

James will begin with the works of faith to bring us into the Wisdom of God; James also defines Wisdom as the manner in which we deal with people and events, but in so doing he also shows there are two types of Wisdom. James is not twenty little letters, it’s one letter beginning with praying in faith, then ending with a prayer of faith both with the added connection  of the Wisdom of God.
